Description Grotti is one of the most beautiful crags of Latium, sunk into smashing woods.
The crags afford routes whose grade of difficulty is sometimes out of the reach of many climbers.
Approach From Rome take the Via Salaria in order to reach Rieti, then take the S.S.578 to Avezzano for about 7 Km, at this point the road runs along the side of a Limestone wall, this is the first sector of Grotti's Crags,
In order to reach the sector "Iniziazione" (Initiation) you have to go on for 2 more Km.
Sector "Il Deposito" (Depot) : At the gate of Grotti take the first pathway next the first house to the left of the town, here starts a track which lead to the mythical sector "Il Deposito"
Rock: It affords a riddled limestone, singleness in his own way, tending sometimes to conglomerate.
A coveted aim of all climbers that are visiting Italy.
Exposition: The crag is exposed to the sun, hot, very hot.
It is typically frequentable the whole winter or even in Spring and Autumn, exploiting the cool breeze under the trees.
